About the Enborne Equestrian Centre, Newbury

Ruth Gardiner BHS AI

Ruth purchased Enborne Equestrian Centre in October 2011 having had a long term horse based career.

Over the short time that she has been based in Berkshire she has built up a thriving business in bringing horses over from Ireland and bringing them on to sell.

However, she has also been able to start a riding school which has always been a lifelong ambition for her.

The centre also acts as a local livery yard on a DIY basis for local horse owners.

The centre is now well known locally for its friendly atmosphere and Ruth is building herself a reputable name for her knowledge that she has acquired over several years.

Facilities

EEC is based on a 33 acre site. There is a large American Barn that hosts the liveries. A second yard in traditional timber stables hosts the Riding School.

There is also a range of out buildings hosting a small coffee area and Ruth herself lives on site.

There are 3 schools on a rubber/ sand all weather surface. The largest measures 40x60m and there are 2 smaller schools measuring 40x25m.

Ruth uses the arenas to teach her pupils, but outside agencies also use the facilities to teach in and shows are regularly run by Ruth and Berkshire County Riding Club

The arenas can be hired out for lessons and shows.
